Vexillographic Inspiration

Designed by Rowan Quinn

Designer's description

Inspired by Vexillology, this flag was designed for Vexillology and every day life. The sun is the symbol because it means to treasure every day like it's your last and it's black based on all the continent of the world. (I thought black made it look better) The white represents peace. The blue represents the sky and the red represents love, luck and human blood.

The Vexing Unicorn

Designed by Darin

Designer's description

I named this flag "The Vexing Unicorn" because the word vexing meaning annoying is a play on the word vexillology. The flag has a ratio of 5:8 (= 1.6). The reason why I chose this ration is because it is the closest simple ratio to the number phi (also known as the golden ratio). Phi is a symbol of perfection due to its omnipresence in the universe. So I decided to use a rounded version of the ratio in this flag. The flag contains a blue border (my favorite color) and a green background symbolising the diversity of your channel's public. In the middle of the flag, there is a yellow unicorn with New Mexico's emblem. The yellow color and the emblem represent Peter's state. The animal is a unicorn because according to the videos that you post, the unicorn turns out to be your favorite animal. The unicorn is holding IFVA's flag, a big symbol of vexillology, by a black flagpole with a spike on top. The color black and the spike symbolise the resistance that Peter has towards his haters that are practically non-existent.

The Star-Spangled Gonfalon

Designed by Darin

Designer's description

The flag is called "The Star-Spangled Gonfalon". The name of the flag is a play on the name of the American anthem. This flag is a swallow-tailed gonfalon that shall be hung vertically. It has a ratio of 2:1. The flag only uses two colors: yellow and red. The red stands for YouTube and the yellow for New Mexico. The triangle on the bottom is not part of the flag. The flag features a red Cross of Burgundy, a symbol of New Mexico; as well as its emblem on each side. At the top is the YouTube logo and five stars symbolising the five principles of flag design each pointing towards the logo.

The Earthly Banner

Designed by Nic Moyer

Designer's description

The green, blue, and white represents the most commonly seen colors on a map (representing land, water, and snow)

Just as every color combined creates one color (black), every nation in the world combined makes one world where we all live and thrive together, and where we are all united under and represented by some sort of colored banner.

the "V" shape in the middle of the flag is the first letter of the channel name, "Vexillographer", and is also representative of the roman numeral five for the five basic principles of flag design.

Description

The first flag I created includes two bands at the bottom and the top made up of three stripes that represent geography. Blue means water and green means land. The central band represents vexillography. It shows the Zia Sun symbol in the middle, it represents the flag of New Mexico, with extended horizontal rays and lack of vertical rays. In between those rays are color to give the band more "pizzaz". Finally, the illusion of a V across the entire flag stands for Vexillographer.
